Josh Hussain - joining as Pastor-in-Training
We are delighted to announce that Josh Hussain will be joining us from 1st July as our new Pastor-in-Training, along with his wife Natalia. This is an exciting opportunity to grow as a church and invest in the next generation of ministers of the Word.
Josh comes to us with a clear passion for Jesus, His Word, and the local church. Originally from the UK, Josh and Natalia are currently based in Munich, Germany, where Josh serves in a wide variety of ministry roles in his international church—teaching youth, leading small groups, discipling students, organising music, and even helping write songs and play drums in a Christian band. His desire to teach God's Word faithfully, care for people pastorally, and help build Christ's church is evident both in his written application and ministry experience.
Josh is currently studying for a Master's in theology with Crosslands Seminary, and we're thrilled to be partnering with him in both his theological training and practical ministry development. He is deeply committed to gospel ministry in the UK and is eager to serve where the need is great—his heart for evangelism and discipleship reflects the values we hold at Grace Church.
As outlined in our Trainee Pastor job description (available here), Josh will be involved in many aspects of church life, particularly serving in our 4:30pm service, and working closely with our youth ministry, especially among the young men. He will also be preaching regularly, supporting pastoral care, and participating in one of our ministry stream teams as he develops his gifts.
As Paul writes in Ephesians 4:11–12, "Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." Our aim is to do just that—equip one of Christ's servants to build up His church.
Let's welcome Josh and Natalia with warmth and joy, showing them the love of Christ in our fellowship. Please be praying for them as they prepare to move and settle into life in Worcester Park. And let's be ready to support them warmly—with our prayers, hospitality, encouragement, and friendship.
Before Josh officially starts, they will be at the morning service on the 11th May, and also at Revive, so some of us will have the chance to get to know them before July, but we hope this news fills you with joy and gratitude for how God is at work among us.
